Background
In Lebanon, 12 Palestinian camps shelter many orphan refugees. These orphans face severe challenges in humanitarian, social, and educational aspects. Economically, they struggle significantly, with over 70% of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon living below the poverty line, affecting 175,000 individuals.
Education Is A Right
Every child deserves the right to education and a safe learning environment. Unfortunately, Palestinian refugee orphans in Lebanon’s camps lack this fundamental right. The absence of Islamic, parental guidance, and education can have detrimental impacts on a child’s development.
How We Will Help
To address this, IESCO and Ensany have launched a campaign to support the teaching of the Quran and Islamic knowledge through Halaqas for these orphans in Lebanon’s refugee camps.
We aim to achieve the following objectives:
- Encouraging orphans to learn and memorize the Holy Quran.
- Teaching Islamic ethics and values.
- Developing strong Islamic characteristics to guide them in life and contribute positively to the Ummah and society.

Beneficiaries
The campaign specifically targets Palestinian orphans in Lebanon camps, aged 7 years and older, aiming to reach 60 orphans across 10 Halaqas for memorizing and Tajweed.
Implementation Plan
Our implementation strategy involves sponsoring 60 orphans in 10 Halaqas for 12 months. Each Halaqa costs RM1200, leading to a total campaign goal of RM200,000, divided into three phases.

The Prophet Muhammadﷺ said: “I and the one who sponsors an orphan will be like these two in Paradise,” and he gestured with his index and middle fingers, holding them slightly apart. (Sahih al-Bukhari)
