IESCO Scholarship in Malaysia (ISM)

IESCO Scholarship in Malaysia (ISM) is an initiative by International Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (IESCO) to attract students from less fortunate places to pursue advanced academic studies in Malaysia.

International students are welcomed to apply for this scholarship and further their studies in the selected Malaysian universities.

  • ISM Scholarship covers bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD programmes.
  • ISM Scholarship is for students who come from conflict zones; namely: Palestine, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria and Rohingya

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for IESCO Scholarship in Malaysia (ISM), applicants must fit the following criteria:

  • Applicant must have good conduct.
  • Applicant must have an offer letter to study full time at one of the selected Malaysian universities.
  • CGPA to be 2.8 or equivalent and above.
  • Current students of bachelor’s, master’s and PhD can apply to this scholarship.
  • The applicant must not be a current recipient of any scholarship.
  • The applicant must be unable to pay the tuition fees to the university and he can proof it through valid documents.
  • Experience in volunteer activities is an additional advantage.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  • Copy of valid passport.
  • Photo (passport size, white background)
  • A copy of student pass/VISA Approval Letter.
  • Last degree Certificate and transcript (original & in English)
  • Last semester transcript if current student.
  • High school certificate (for applicants in bachelor’s degree).
  • Current Confirmation or certification letter or offer letter of study
  • Certificate of financial statements with recent date
  • Any supporting documents showing financial inability.

OBJECTIVES

  • To support students who are financially unprivileged but have exceled academically.
  • To help students to complete their studies, especially those who are about to graduate.
  • To Support the educational process and instilling the role of civil society institutions towards universities and education
  • To extend a helping hand to families who are burdened with the high cost of their children’s education

HOW DO NEW STUDENTS APPLY FOR ISM ?

  • Applicants need to:

Apply at one of the selected universities for the programme of your choice and get the offer letter and VISA approval letter (VAL).

Once you receive your Letter of Offer, proceed to IESCO  Scholarship in Malaysia (ISM) website and register yourself.

Wait for the reply of approval or disapproval of your application.

Once you are approved, the International Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization will contact you for further details.

IMPORTANCE NOTICES:

  • Applications are open from April 20, 2019 to May 5, 2019.
  • Late applications will NOT be accepted.
  • Applications with missing or inappropriate documents will NOT be accepted.
  • Scholarship is for one year only.
